Basically just white people boringly walking through a jungle soundstage.
Mostly a jungle trek with a little sci fi thrown in at the end. Enjoyable but nothing to get excited about.
sounds like a space movie but it's just a jungle movie
Basically just white people boringly walking through a jungle soundstage.
Low budget jungle movie with a sci-fi angle. The actors do a good job of selling the tiny jungle soundstage and the editing smoothly incorporates the stock footage. There are surprisingly few cheesy moments, though the snake on a fishing line was definitely one, and the pacing is quite good with tension created throughout.
Standard/dull jungle trek film only slightly improved towards the end with some light sci fi shenanigans. Quatermass it ain't.
Kathleen Crowley is the best thing about it, but even she's overshadowed by the single stand out scene of the dude 'trapped in amber'.
Written by Pat Fielder who went on to do a lot of TV from The Rifleman to Quincy. Worth keeping one eye on at 3am while you're doing something else.
